LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony have enjoyed wildly different NBA careers, although both are certain to be Hall-Of-Famers when everything is said and done. LeBron is a Top 5 player of all time according to most people, and a lot of them believe he’s the greatest ever. While Melo hasn’t received the same love, he has been an absolute superstar in the NBA for large parts of his career.
The amazing part about this is that the two saw a lot of each other growing up, being among the best in the country at the high school level. The hype LeBron enjoyed was incomparable to anyone else, but Anthony himself was no slouch, so it was no surprise that they had battles with one another in high school before they were drafted No. 1 and No. 3 overall.
And they will now see their sons go through the same process, Melo’s son Kiyan playing for Christ The King High School is set to face off against Bronny James and Sierra Canyon. Bronny is further along in his development being a little older but both are highly-touted recruits and the game is certainly being widely anticipated.
